About me

I am a frequently mud-splattered, flower-picking, nose-in-book, fun-loving, stubborn-as-hell, twenty-something artist and writer living in Philadelphia. I make one-of-a-kind pottery, for sale at my Etsy shop!

Besides being a fan of Maurice Sendak, I love the night kitchen because it’s the place where the creative juices get flowing. It may be baking those midnight masterpieces or cooking up some new art design, but I always seem to be get a burst of energy when the clock strikes that witching hour.

Join me for some meandering thoughts, half-baked ideas, and a look at some of my favorite crafts and designs from my fellow Etsy artists.

  3. Just dropping in to say “hi” – I’m a journalist (a late-night writer, also) and have a passion for playing with paper (mixed media stuff, hand-made cards, etc) although I have absolutely nothing (yet) to offer on Etsy.
    Lede on!

  4. I just discovered your blog and I love what I see so far. I will definitely go have a look at what you have to offer on Etsy. Do you ship overseas?

  5. Saw this posted on the Etsy forums this AM and I’m truly impressed! I am also a writer who cringes at some of the descriptions I’ve seen, so what you’re doing is such a great service! I love the look of your blog, too. I’ve tried to set up a blog on WordPress and I’m just spinning my wheels so far.
Congratulations on this. I love your pottery, too.

  6. I just discovered a new blog to add to my list of daily reading material!

  7. HI! I’ve already vot for your new banner but I’ll leave my message here too. Your work and your blog are both stylish and elegant Congratulations from me too
    I wish you the best!

  8. Hi! I happened across your etsy page while looking for some new ceramics ideas and I have to know- your gold-honey glaze! How do you make it?!?! Is it your own recipe, and if so, can I have a copy?! That is quite simply the perfect colour (I am making all the centerpieces for my wedding next summer, with a “starry night” theme.)

Btw, your pots are gorgeous, outside of just the glaze. I am busily trying to remind myself that I don’t need a whole set! The green-gold is especially lovely.

    -Ciao,
    Amanda (Ames, IA)

  9. I loved this blog! I still have much more to go through and read, but you really do give wonderful advice. Also, after reading your about me it made me want to spice that up (also with my descriptions on ETSY)! Great read, really enjoy it, and now back to browsing it 🙂
